Introducing Nasi Lemak is known as a dish of Malay fragant rice that cooked in pandan leaf and coconut milk. Nasi Lemak is acknowledged as national dish. Normally, it is a breakfast dish for local Malaysians. But,there is no certain meal time that you can only eat nasi lemak in the mornings. You can satisfy your nasi lemak cravings for lunch, evening and supper. Nasi lemak is a quick snack that wrapped with banana leaf, brown paper and newspaper. More than that, this dish is very popular in other country especially in Brunei and Singapore.
There are a little bit of the history. Farmers needed a healthy meal in the morning, so they eating nasi lemak to keep them full as nasi lemak covered with carbohydrates from rice, sambal’s oils and anchovies’ protein. In Malay, Nasi Lemak means as  ” oily or fatty rice”. The meaning is Nasi Lemak usually is creamy or rich flavoured rice dish.

Are you curious about ingredients of nasi lemak ? In tradition, Nasi Lemak was normally served with sambal (fried chilli paste), cucumber slices , fried anchovies. hard-boiled egg and roasted groundnuts.
In addition, some of stalls provide various types of side dishes such as fried chicken, fried fish, squid fritters, chicken or beef rendang, sambal fish and sambal squids.
Nasi Lemak is a common food so you can get this at many places in Malaysia.
