Keropok Lekor also known as fish sausage, origin from Terengganu, a state at the east coast of Malaysia. This finger-licking goodness snack is created by Malay.

Keropok Lekor is made fom simple ingredients which is fish (ikan parang or ikan kembong), ice cubes, pandan leaves, salt, water and sago flour. Just mix everything togehter with a machine at the fish sausage is done. You just need to cut the long sausages into smaller pieces and deep-fried using a frying pan until it turn crispy gold or you can just steam it.
Traditionally, it is eaten with homemade chili sauce or shrimp-based sauce but due to modern innovation, adding cheese sauce or mayonnaise are also available in the market to let consumer have more choices. You will get the best of it if immediately shoved a piece of fish sausage into your mouth right after frying. Crispy on the outside and tender at the inside. Best opportunity to try it if you want to experience the Terengganu Malay culture and the diversity in food.
There are two sizes of Keropok Lekor which is thick(round bar shape) and thin(slice). Customers can have more selections when trying both shapes as it will create different taste for each of them. Usually, this snack could be found at roadside specialist store or pasar malam(night market).
